Join a relaxed, hands‑on 2‑hour session on January 31st from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., where you’ll learn how to get sharp, eye‑catching photos using nothing more than the camera already in your pocket. How to quickly set up your phone for better photos in any light, tap to focus and adjust exposure
Simple composition tricks to make your images look instantly more professional
When and how to use, portrait mode, and basic editing tools
Practical tips for travel, family, and everyday photography
Throughout the session, you’ll see real‑world examples from a cycle trip around the world for Alzheimer’s, with stories behind the images that bring the journey—and the cause—to life. Participants will have time to practice, ask questions, and get direct feedback on their images.
Admission is by pass‑the‑bucket donation in support of Alzheimer’s, so you can learn new skills and help make a difference at the same time.

Dive into the principles of visual design and the key elements of strong composition in this immersive, hands‑on workshop on January 31st from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. You’ll move beyond “pretty pictures” to understand why certain images grab attention, feel balanced, and tell powerful stories.
You’ll learn:
How to use line, shape, color, light, and negative space to guide the viewer’s eye
Classic composition framing, leading lines, layers, and more
How to build stronger images through point of view, timing, and simplification
Ways to create visual impact in landscapes, portraits, and street scenes
The session will be richly illustrated with photographs from a cycle around the world for Alzheimer’s, using real travel images to break down what works, what doesn’t, and how to elevate your own work. Participants will get hands‑on shooting exercises plus supportive portfolio reviews, giving you practical feedback you can apply immediately to your photography.
